Refund Policy
First Due Leadership Consulting is committed to providing clear, professional, and consistent terms for program enrollments, online courses, workshops, consulting engagements, speaking events, and advisory services. This Refund Policy explains when refunds, transfers, substitutions, or credits may be available.
1. General Policy
This Refund Policy applies to payments made to First Due Leadership Consulting for leadership development programs, online courses, in-person classes, workshops, consulting engagements, coaching services, facilitation services, speaking engagements, assessments, and related professional services.
Refund eligibility depends on the type of service purchased, the timing of the cancellation request, whether access to digital materials or online course content has been provided, and whether First Due Leadership Consulting has already reserved time, prepared materials, incurred costs, or delivered services.
All refund requests must be submitted in writing by email to chief@chiefkramer.com. The date the written request is received will be used to determine refund eligibility.
2. Program and Course Enrollment Refunds
For scheduled leadership programs, academies, workshops, and in-person courses, the following refund terms apply unless a separate written agreement, proposal, contract, or registration page states otherwise.
14+ Days Before Start Date
Cancellations received 14 or more calendar days before the scheduled program start date may be eligible for a full refund, less any non-refundable payment processing fees or expenses already incurred.
7–13 Days Before Start Date
Cancellations received 7 to 13 calendar days before the scheduled program start date may be eligible for a 50% refund or a one-time transfer to a future offering, subject to availability.
Less Than 7 Days Before Start
Cancellations received less than 7 calendar days before the scheduled program start date are generally non-refundable. A one-time transfer may be considered at First Due Leadership Consulting’s discretion.
3. Online Course and Digital Content Refunds
Online courses, digital training materials, downloadable resources, recorded sessions, and portal-based content involve immediate access to proprietary educational material. Because of this, online course purchases and digital content purchases are generally non-refundable once access has been issued, login credentials have been provided, or materials have been delivered.
- Refunds may be considered if duplicate payment was made in error.
- Refunds may be considered if the purchaser cannot access the course due to a technical issue that First Due Leadership Consulting is unable to resolve.
- No refund will be issued because a participant did not complete the course, failed to access the course, or changed their mind after access was granted.
- Course access may be limited by the stated enrollment period, course completion window, or platform access terms.
4. Transfers and Participant Substitutions
When a participant cannot attend a scheduled program, First Due Leadership Consulting may allow a one-time transfer to a future course offering or allow a qualified substitute participant to attend in the original participant’s place.
- Transfer requests should be submitted at least 7 calendar days before the program start date.
- Transfers are subject to seat availability, program schedule, and eligibility requirements.
- Only one transfer is permitted unless otherwise approved in writing.
- Participant substitutions must be approved before the program begins.
- Substitute participants must meet any course or program requirements that apply.
5. Consulting, Coaching, Speaking, and Facilitation Engagements
Consulting, coaching, speaking, facilitation, assessment, and advisory engagements often require advance scheduling, preparation, research, travel planning, document review, material development, and reservation of professional time. Refund eligibility for these engagements may differ from course enrollment refunds.
- Deposits, retainers, and booking fees may be non-refundable once an engagement date is reserved.
- Payments for completed services are non-refundable.
- Payments for partially completed services may be refunded only for the undelivered portion, if applicable and approved in writing.
- Travel expenses, lodging, airfare, mileage, printing, materials, venue costs, and other direct expenses already incurred are non-refundable.
- Rescheduling may be offered when reasonable, subject to calendar availability and any costs already incurred.
6. Cancellations by First Due Leadership Consulting
If First Due Leadership Consulting cancels a scheduled program, course, workshop, or event, participants may be offered one or more of the following options:
- A full refund of the amount paid for the canceled program or service.
- A transfer to a future program, course, workshop, or event.
- A credit toward another eligible First Due Leadership Consulting service.
First Due Leadership Consulting is not responsible for participant travel, lodging, lost wages, agency staffing costs, or other indirect expenses unless otherwise agreed in writing.
7. No-Show Policy
Participants who do not attend a scheduled in-person program, virtual session, coaching appointment, workshop, or event without prior written notice are considered no-shows. No-shows are not eligible for a refund.
First Due Leadership Consulting may consider a transfer or credit in cases involving documented emergencies, agency operational needs, severe weather, illness, or other exceptional circumstances, but such decisions are made at First Due Leadership Consulting’s sole discretion.
8. Payment Processing Fees and Administrative Costs
Any refund issued may be reduced by payment processing fees, credit card transaction fees, platform fees, administrative costs, materials already provided, or direct expenses already incurred by First Due Leadership Consulting.
Refunds are generally issued to the original payment method when possible. Processing times may vary depending on the payment processor, bank, or platform used for the original transaction.
9. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
Customers are encouraged to contact First Due Leadership Consulting directly before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute. Many issues can be resolved through communication, transfer, rescheduling, credit, or clarification of the applicable policy.
If a chargeback is initiated for a payment that is not eligible for refund under this policy or a signed agreement, First Due Leadership Consulting reserves the right to provide documentation to the payment processor, suspend access to online course materials, cancel enrollment, or decline future registration until the matter is resolved.
10. Exceptions and Special Circumstances
First Due Leadership Consulting understands that emergencies, operational demands, illness, family circumstances, deployments, severe weather, and other unexpected issues may arise. Exceptions to this policy may be considered on a case-by-case basis but are not guaranteed.
Any exception, credit, transfer, or refund approval must be confirmed in writing by First Due Leadership Consulting.
Refund Request Procedure
To request a refund, transfer, substitution, or credit, send a written request with your name, organization, program or service purchased, payment date, reason for the request, and preferred resolution.
